I’ll let you decide what life can be. For me life is sometimes a lonely walk, sometimes a bit tipped, sometimes difficult, heartbreaking more than I would like, yet every day is filled with “joy unspeakable and full of glory”. 1 Peter 1:7-9
This is a straight out of my camera shot, taken with my Canon PowerShot SD1400 IS. It was an exciting event—the installation of a new dock at a nearby lake. My hubby’s fishing club wrote the grant and worked hard to get the permits and funding, and finally a new dock. Kid’s fishing day is coming up in May, and it will be great not to worry about the dock and how many kids are on it, etc.
This shot was taken on Monday, Jan. 6. The next day my hubby wasn’t feeling well at all, so we didn’t return to take shots of the final installation of the dock. On Wed, Jan 8, we rushed hubby to hospital and he spent a fun 5 days being poked and prodded. We came home with aching, but hopeful hearts. Life crashed further when we rushed to the big hospital in the big city, where we lived for a week while tests were done. We came home with broken hearts, but there was still hope and we have clung to that for the past 7 weeks.
I share all this so that you will understand that why I’m not more active in the photo challenge. My husband is the most important person in this world to me, and I’m happy to be healthy and alive and able to take care of him.
We are taking it one day at a time, and relying on God to give us strength to meet each challenge. We have our moments of weakness, as everyone does, but God is able and always picks us back up and gives us hope. We see God working through all this each day, and our hearts are filled with HIS joy — even through our burdens and sorrows. We are trusting God for all that is ahead.
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10
So sorry that life is difficult and heartbreaking for you right now. I will pray for strength and comfort and hope for better times for you and your hubby.
